LinkedInAlper means “courageous man” in my native Turkish. Born in Germany, educated in the United States, and now living in Istanbul, I’ve always been a traveler between cultures and wisdom traditions. Trained as an Industrial engineer and management consultant, and later as an executive coach and facilitator of teams and large groups, I integrate these disciplines through my vocation as a Learning Architect — designing transformative spaces and long-term journeys where people and teams can achieve their ambitions better together.
After 25 years working with leaders, I’ve seen how our bias for new knowledge and quick fixes often hinders genuine growth — both individual and collective. Through my research and authorship of The Leadership Space,
I draw on ancient wisdom traditions to revive and make available fresh, actionable ways for leaders and teams to cultivate sustainable practices that enable deeper, lasting transformation.
“To put the world in order, we must first put the family in order; to put the family in order, we must first cultivate our personal life; to cultivate our personal life, we must first set our hearts right.” — Confucius
